Upcoming premier FLESH AND BLOOD (January 29, 30)
Winner of the festival IDEA2019, director Uršulė Bartoševičiūtė, working with playwright Matas Vildžius explores the bloodline theme on the Cain and Abel murder, which was described in the Old Testament and the mystery “Cain”, written by the British poet Lord Byron. The director says: “The bloodline separates the stranger from the close one, relative. The bloodline determines moral and legal issues, by which we inherit shame, guilt, money, titles, assets, liabilities, debts. The story of Cain and Abel in the Old Testament and the new play by Matas Vildžius contains many of the first times, including the first murder.”
