Theatre Representatives Participated in the Creative Europe Platform “Prospero NEW” Annual Partners’ Meeting
On February 12–15, representatives of the Nacionalinis Kauno dramos teatras (National Kaunas Drama Theatre) — Artistic Director and theatre scholar Edgaras Klivis, Manager for Cultural Projects Rūta Malaškevičienė, and Theatre Director Augustas Gornatkevičius — took part in the Creative Europe platform “Prospero NEW” partners’ meeting at Schaubühne in Berlin, Germany.
The annual meeting was organised by Théâtre de Liège (Belgium) and the Schaubühne Theatre (Germany). Discussions focused on the progress of the project’s implementation, the execution of the action plan, and partners’ commitments. The programme also included presentations of works by the emerging artists.
The National Kaunas Drama Theatre introduced two young-generation directors — Augustas Gornatkevičius and Justinas Vinciūnas. Network members had the opportunity to become acquainted in person with Gornatkevičius and his artistic work. Vinciūnas’ upcoming premiere, scheduled for autumn 2026 and based on a play by Lucy Prebble, was presented during the co-production partners’ session. The next stages of the project implementation and key dates were confirmed.
