Stories by different people about loneliness and happiness, feelings they experience while surrounded by others on the bus, on the beach, at a concert, in the cinema, in the lift, on the street, in a club or while standing in a queue, are heard. How do we exist in a crowd? Do we want to stand out or dissolve into it? Do we fight our way to be in the centre, or would we rather keep to the sidelines? What do we experience when we are just a small part of a large group? Who are we as individuals outside the group? How does the crowd influence our behaviour? It is a paradox that the world consists of 8 billion people, yet most of them are lonely. The Crowd is an audiovisual experience in a theatre that invites you to explore oneself in the midst of others and to experience the resulting feelings: happiness or loneliness, or perhaps even insecurity, curiosity, trust or togetherness.
