The National Kaunas Drama Theatre invites the whole family to explore the magical fantasy world of Lewis Carroll’s Alice Through the Looking Glass. This extraordinary journey features strange rules, where logic is turned upside down, and every step reveals a more colorful and mysterious reality. In this realm, the cake is served before being cut, and a finger is broken before it can be mended. The chessboard becomes the world, and Alice, initially a pawn, transforms into a queen.
Director Žilvinas Vingelis blends various theatrical expressions in this performance. Traditional dramatic acting is enhanced with video projections, puppetry, elements of physical theater, and contemporary circus. The Kanta Company contributes to the performance, infusing it with playfulness and enabling the creation of theatrical wonders that defy the usual constraints of drama.
